세미나 명: “Playing with rare-earth spins in covalently-bonded metal dimers"



초록: 

Covalent bonding between lanthanide ions lead to unusual static and dynamic magnetic properties in metal dimers. 
Particularly attractive for this goal aresingle-electron lanthanide-lanthanide bonds, which can be realized in metal dimers encapsulated in endohedral metallofullerenes. 
Giant hyperfine coupling or exchange interactions and a system of well-defined electron-nuclear spin levels are combined in these molecules with confinement of the spin within the protecting carbon cage. 
In this contribution, we will discuss different aspects of spin dynamics in such rare-earth dimers.
